Forced-Perspective Art Class

Dear parents,

In Visual Arts lessons students have been working with perspective. They observed and created drawings using one point perspective and two points perspective.

And then they took it further and had a great time creating a forced-perspective photography!

Maths and Science Week!

Dear parents,

This week is the St. Francis Maths and Science Week!

Students from all primary years will have focused activities related to science and maths concepts every afternoon from Monday to Wednesday and Thursday there will be sharing moments across year groups! It's an exciting week full of experiments and challenges!

It is a short week as well: Friday 20th is a holiday Dia da Consciência Negra and the school will be closed. So, enjoy the extra day on the weekend with the children!

Next week we are back full speed again and will go on another outing! To the theatre this time,  watch 'Viagem ao Centro da Terra' at Teatro Alpha on Wednesday 25th. Please make sure you send the payment  and authorization slip in your child's folder as soon as possible.

Have a great short week!

End of Unit Presentations!

Dear parents,

Students carried out an individual investigation to experience and put into practice all their learning about exploration and discoveries. They were seeking information, researching and reaching out for all kinds of support to find out and learn more about something of their own interest. It was great to see that many parents were involved in it as well!

We had many different subjects rising in class and each student digging into what they wanted to know more.

Students chose their own way to present information to an audience. There were posters, written texts, PowerPoint docs, short videos, experiments, models and oral presentations.

Here are some examples of the whole process:

It was a great Unit!

Thank you very much for your support!
