Dear Parents,
It was a pleasure to meet all of you last week during our Goal-Setting Meetings. This has certainly given us an opportunity to identify your child's strengths and establish strategies to handle their areas of need. Throughout the process, please feel free to follow-up with us through their diaries which we read each morning. We look forward to taking big steps together throughout the year.
As we move into the fifth week of our academic year we would like to explain the homework structure in more detail. In PYP 5, homework consists of 15 minutes of daily reading + 3x week - 15 minute tasks in Literacy, Numeracy and other areas including Portuguese. Therefore, Portuguese homework is assigned on Tuesday, Maths on Wednesday, and Language on Friday. All homework is expected on the following school day.
This week, the following homework is being assigned for Maths and Language.
(1) On Wednesday, please log-in to MyiMaths and complete the task named "Presenting Data - Frequency Bar Charts - Level 3" Due on Thursday.
(2) On Friday, please complete the Language homework worksheet called "Think of a Proper Noun." Due on Monday.
Again, it was a pleasure to meet all of you last week. We hope this blog will bridge the connection between our classroom and your homes with the best interest for your child's learning. A reminder to please sign and return one copy of the Goal-Setting reports as early as humanly possible.
