Dear parents,
The trip to Cidade das Abelhas was an amazing experience for
everyone!
We could learn all about bees: different types of bees, how they
are organised, how long they live and how important they are for the human existence
on Earth. Yes, we learned that if bees become extinct humans would last for only 5
more years in the planet before going extinct as well. Pollination
is the key; and that is done by the bees is the world.
We also saw the bee hives on site! (Did not get too close
though, obvious reasons…) We kept a safe distance, but we could see a real bee
hive from inside through a glass! We could also check the inside of a bee, its
organs and structure, walking through a giant model. Amazing!
And the honey…
We could taste their honey.. Yummy!
Towards the end of our trip, we had some time in the play
area to have some fun and enjoy the fresh air of the Atlantic rainforest.
Overall, It was a great trip!
Student are taking home a booklet with information about
Cidade das Abelhas and a free return ticket for them to go visit it again with
their family. Enjoy!
